Enchanter supports are one of the staple choices for the bot lane. They are usually paired with scaling ADCs with the goal of dominating the late game. The options for enchanter supports are diverse, but what are the best choices? Let’s find out!
Best Enchanter Supports in League of Legends
Soraka
I think it would be fair to list Soraka as the first choice. She is a super effective enchanter despite not requiring much skill to play. She has massive heals on her W and ultimate, enabling her to heal up allies consistently. Her W does expand some of her HP in order to heal allies, however, Soraka has an inbuilt option (her Q) of regaining the HP back. Landing Q’s on enemies will restore a nice percentage of our HP, while also doing decent damage to enemies.
Yuumi
Yuumi might be one of the champions with the lowest entry floor in the game. Her W ability allows her to bind herself to an ally, effectively rendering her untargetable. In this position, he can heal the given ally and shoot Q’s and R at the enemies. Despite being super easy to play, there is still a lot that can be done to separate a good Yuumi from a slightly less skilled one.
Janna
For those looking to make a career of playing support, Janna stands as a reasonable option. She is one of the hardest, if not the hardest enchanter champions to play. To succeed with this champion, you will need to learn a lot of different mechanics.
Some of the gameplay knowledge that is required for Janna is good positioning, good prediction and mechanical prowess for landing Q’s, understanding of when to use R, shield, and W, etc. Despite being really hard, mastering Janna pays huge returns in terms of the ability to win games.
Nami
I find Nami to be a slightly more casual variant of Janna. While still being somewhat demanding, she can also be much more forgiving. The main requirement for playing this champion is the practice of landing bubbles and ultimates. A tip I would give to every player is to watch for the enemy movement when you cast the ability. You can remember their patterns which will make it easier for you to land abilities on them and similarly skilled players in the future.
Lulu
As a jungle main, Lulu is one of my most preferred support picks. A great Lulu has the ability to make wonders with her kit. She has the power to shield allies, slow enemies and polymorph enemies, and generally just dictate the outcome of many fights. She is medium in terms of strength requirements, but even beginners can play Lulu with a decent success rate.
Taric
Taric has a unique profile since he is the only enchanter support on the tankier site. Taric is distinguished by his W ability that allows him to connect with an ally, and have all his spell casts be replicated on both him and the ally. His spell rotation includes healing, shielding, and an ultimate that can make the entire ally team invulnerable for quite a significant duration.
Final Thoughts
Enchanter supports are quite fun to play, and they offer a huge host of benefits for the ally team. They are best played when you have a trusted team of carries who can make use of all the utility you would provide. The best enchanter support is different relative to your needs, but you can be sure that any of the listed picks will be quite efficient generally.
