ARAM is a game-mode that heavily favors ranged champions, however, Thresh is a champion that distinguished itself without the target ranged kit. Instead, Thresh is taking the spotlight with his incredibly high utility kit.

Best Thresh Items
Winter’s Approach
The greatest first item for Thresh is the Winter’s Approach. To build towards this item, we will want to pick up Guardian’s Horn and Tear of Goddess at the game start. The tear of Goddess will start stacking towards Winter’s transformation.
Winter’s is a great item since it will give us plenty of early mana, which will enable us to spam hooks to catch enemies, and spam plenty of life-saving W. The item will also make us tankier, and able to survive early fights.
Warmong’s Armor
Despite its somewhat misleading name, Warmong’s will not increase our armor stats at all. What it will do however is increase our HP by 1000. That’s roughly double the HP we have started with. The item also has a passive that will give us a major heal each time we are out of combat. The passive will enable us to have a stronger presence, and constantly pressure enemies with our Q’s.
Kaenick Rockern
Kaenick Rockern is a stock purchase against AP champions. It will give us a great amount of HP, and it has one of the highest ratios of magic resist out of all the other items. The item will also give us a huge anti-AP shield each time we are out of combat.
Thornmail
Thornmail is another side of the same coin relative to Kaenick Rockern. Instead of magic resist though, Thornmail will give us huge armor ratios. Another cool thing about Thornmail is it’s passive, that will reflect a part of taken AD damage back to enemies
Jak’Sho the Protean
Finally, the last resistance item we will build is Jak’Sho the Protean. It’s a mix of value between magic resist and armor, with some added HP. The perk of its item is it’s passive, that will increase both resistance stats the longer we are in combat.
Boots
The best boots for Thresh in ARAM are the Mercury Treads. These will significantly reduce the duration of CC applied to us, and they will enable us to play much more aggressively.

The greatest keystone for Thresh in ARAM is the Afterschock one. It will help us gain extra sustain after immobilizing enemies with Q, E and R. Likewise, Font of Life, will also activate once we impair an enemy, and it will regenerate our allies HP.
The third rune we will take is the Bone Plating, which will help us sustain engage’s and poke a little better. For resistance, we will also take Overgrowth, which will grant us some extra HP. Finally, the last two runes we are going to take are the Presence of Mind and Legend: haste.
Presence of Mind will grant us additional mana sustain, and help us survive the early game. The last rune, Legend: Haste, will help with its cooldown reduction per unique takedown.
Final Thoughts
Thresh is one of the most solid bruiser/engage picks for ARAM. He excels at engaging, picking off enemies, and peeling allies. The greatest build for his design is most definitely a full tank one. We want to build various items for magic resist, armor, and HP. These will enable us to sustain more, and successfully play our role in the game.
