Yone is one of the most infamous League of Legends champions. In the lore he is the older brother of Yasuo, in the game, he is Yasuo’s successor. The champion has quite an enjoyable kit unless you are playing against him, and he makes a perfect champion for maining. Yone has a mid-tier entry floor and a really high skill ceiling. To aid you on the journey of mastering Yone, today we are gonna go to the best Yone build, played by the likes of players such as Dzukill, one of the most distinguished Challenger Yone mains.
Best Yone Items
Blade of The Ruined Kid (BOTRK)
BOTRK is one of the most common Yone purchases, especially in the top lane. The item allows us to bypass our weaknesses, and shred the tankier champs. It marks a major early-game power spike, and it allows us to comfortably fight in-lane and in the off-lane skirmishes. The item can be substituted with Kraken Slayer, in the case you are playing vs. squishy enemies.
Immortal Shieldbow
As most people do know, Yone has a passive which doubles his critical strike. We definitely want to make use of that passive as soon as possible, and for that reason, we are gonna build Immortal Shieldbow as the second item. It will be another great power spike, as we will deal much more damage, and we will get the item’s shield which will enhance our sustain.
Infinity Edge
The IE will mark yet another major milestone in our build, it will spike our critical strike to the maximum 100% and it will also increase our critical strike damage. Having this item built will make us a menace to deal with, and it will allow us to cut through enemy carries really easily.
Death’s Dance
The first three items built were core, and we can get a little more creative now. I am still gonna outline the best general possible items, but you might find some other items better in different scenarios. Having said that, our 4th pick will be Death’s Dance.
Death’s Dance is great at making us less squishy, which will enable us to play more aggressively. Playing more aggressively will result in us dealing more damage, and putting more pressure on the enemy team.
Guardian Angel
I, like many other distinguished players, like to finish off my build with a Guardian Angel. The pick is made on the presumption that we will be strong in the late game, which should be the case as we do have a full build. Since Yone is a strong late-game champion, it’s fair to assume that enemies will not be kind to us.
To secure a better fighting future, we are gonna build the GA. It will help us have multiple appearances in crucial fights, which can be the single reason for winning many games. It’s one of the best late-game items when used correctly.
Boots
The best Yone boots are Berserker Greaves, which can later be upgraded to Zephyr. Some honorable mentions would be the defensive options, such as Plated Steelcaps and Mercury’s Treads. These two can be built in unsafe or losing matchups.
Best Yone Runes
- Fleet Footwork
- Absorb Life
- Legend: Alacrity
- Last Stand
- Second Wind
- Overgrowth
Final Thoughts
Yone is a highly mechanically demanding champion. He is primarily played in the mid and the top lane. The best way to master this champion is to start to fight the right fundamentals, such as having a correct build. In light of that, I would recommend following the build we outlined!
