Manchester City vs. Fulham: Current situation
Ever since Pep Guardiola arrived at the Etihad it has been nothing but joy for Manchester City fans. The team managed to win the last 4 Premier League titles, as well as the Champions League just two seasons ago. They are showing no signs of slowing down, once again the goal is to retain the league as well as go as further as possible in other competitions. With their total market value surpassing €1.2bn, anything but a finish atop of the table would be a disappointment.
After finishing in a comfortable 13th place last season, Fulham are once again over achieving at the start of this new campaign with 3 wins, 2 draws and just 1 loss after the first 6 games played. After splashing the cash on Joachim Andersen and Emile Smith Rowe in the offseason, the team’s total market value increased to €346m making them the 17th most valuable team in the league. Prior to the season there were talks about this team struggling to keep up with the rest of the elite teams in the Premier League, but so far they have been punching above their weight.
Manchester City Stats & Form
Scoring goals has not been a problem for Palace so far this season – they’ve found the net a total of 9 times in their first 6 games in all competition. However, they’ve only been able to collect 3 points from those 6 games, but it is worth nothing that 2 of those points came in draws against top-tier teams like Chelsea and Manchester United.
Fulham Stats & Form
Only one team has struggled more this season in the Premier League than Southampton. Head coach Russell Martin finds himself 2nd from bottom with just 1 point from 6 matches played. They’re 3 points behind 17th place which would guarantee safety and following a 3-1 defeat against Bournemouth last time out, they face a tough challenge to get a result against one of the top tier teams in the Premier League. The last time Southampton won at Emirates was back in 2016 in the Carabao Cup.
Manchester City – Fulham: Head to Head
Pep Guardiola’s men were able to do a league double over Fulham last season winning 5-1 and 4-0 respectively. If we look at the previous 21 meetings at Etihad Stadium, City have come out victorious 13 times, with 5 draws and just 3 wins for the visitors. Overall, City are unbeaten in the last 19 matches head-to-head, winning 17 of them. You have to go way back to 2009 to find the last away win for the Cottagers at Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City – Fulham Odds
If the Citizens are to return to winning ways here, you can get 1.26 odds at betswap. A 3rd consecutive Fulham victory in the Premier League gets you 11.00 odds, while a draw is priced at 6.55 odds.
The total goals margin is set at 2.5 with 1.49 for over and 2.73 for under.

Betting tip and prediction: Manchester City – Fulham (05.10.2024)
After their mid-week display of dominance in a 4-0 win over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, the Sky Blues look to return to winning ways in the Premier League as well. The absence of Rodri has been noticeable, but with so many quality players at his disposal there’s no doubt in my mind Pep Guardiola will find a way to better connect his defense and offense here. Fulham have made a promising start to the season, but I’m afraid they cannot hope for much here. The addiction of Smith-Rowe has done wonders for their creativity in midfield, so there is a possibility they squeeze out at least one goal here. However, this should all be Manchester City so I am backing them to win in a goal fest here.
