Philadelphia Eagles – Cleveland Browns: Initial situation
Looking at this week’s NFL betting odds, there is not team with a higher chance of winning than the Philadelphia Eagles. Not that long ago, the Eagles looked unbeatable at home field, but can the Cleveland Browns take advantage of the Eagles recent struggles? We will find out on Sunday afternoon when the two meet in the City of Brotherly Love.
Philadelphia Eagles Stats & Form
The Philadelphia Eagles needed a bye week early in the season after splitting the first four games. It was all fun for the Eagles when they won 34-29 against the Green bay Packers in the season opener in Sao Paulo, but the next heartbreaking loss to the Atlanta Falcons is the key moment in their series so far. The Eagles bounced back with a win in New Orleans but could not repeat that in Week 4 in Tampa as the Buccaneers won 33-16. This game was decided early on as the Bucs took a 24-0 lead outgaining the Eagles 254 yards to zero. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had the worst game of the season covering only 158 yards on 18 of 30 and was sacked six times.
Cleveland Browns Stats & Form
One of the biggest disappointments so far in the season are definitely the Cleveland Browns. Currently they are on a three-game losing streak and sit in third place in the AFC North with a 1-4 record. Last week, they suffered the biggest loss of the season, 33-14 against the Washington Commanders on the road. That was their second road game of the three-game stretch that started with a loss in Vegas. Things could have looked even worse if the Browns did not score their only touchdown of the game in garbage time. Deshaun Watson was 15 of 28 for 125 yards and the late TD toss to tight end Jordan Akins and has yet to throw a 200-yard game this season. He was that bad so Browns coach Kevin Stefanski replaced him with Jameis Winston in the final minutes of the game.
Philadelphia Eagles – Cleveland Browns: Head to Head
The Philadelphia Eagles lead the all-time series 32-17 against the Cleveland Browns. The Eagles have won 8 of their last 10 games, but the Browns won the last regular season game 22-17 back in 2020. The last three games between these two teams finished under the total point line.

Betting tip and prediction: Philadelphia Eagles – Cleveland Browns (13.10.2024)
After the New York Jets fired their head coach, we may be looking for the next firing between the coaches of these two teams. Not that long ago, the Philadelphia Eagles looked like the best team in the league. After head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts won the NFC Championship Game in their second season together in 2022, the Eagles are 13-0, and Hurts has turned the ball over 28 times in those 23 games, including seven times already this season. On the other side, Kevin Stefanski also tries to cool off his seat after the Cleveland Browns are only 1-4 to start the season. The Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is struggling big time, and sidelining a player with a $230 million contract is not something any coach can do. Stefanski may have a reason for that, as Watson has more interceptions (12) than wins (nine) since the Browns gambled on him and was and sacked more times (26) than any other quarterback in the NFL this season. This may be the game Watson can improve as he will go against the Eagles defense that ranks 24th against the pass (237.0 yards per game) and has intercepted only one pass in its last 13 quarters. However, Philadelphia has Hurts and Saquon Barkley ready to go, and receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith will probably get back in action, so we go with the Eagles to win this one by covering the -8.5-point spread.
